Who We Serve
Life Enrichment Center is a place where adults can find serenity, engagement, and the complete care they need to stay healthy during daytime hours. Our facilities are fully-equipped for patients and guests with physical conditions and diminished mental capacities. Whether you are caring for a senior with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s or a younger adult with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or a physical injury, your loved one will receive quality care and attention from our compassionate caregivers. Patients and guests may participate in activities and enrichment programs such as arts, games, cooking lessons, holiday parties, entertainment from special guests, and much more. Our goal is to keep the minds and bodies of all our guests active and engaged.
Our support groups are designed and organized to help participants and their families find hope and relief in trying times. They are run by trained, certified caregivers and show significant benefits when helping to improve the lives of participants. We strive to provide a supportive, welcoming environment where patients and their families can share their victories and triumphs with other like-minded families in similar situations. No matter your situation, you’ll find a sympathetic ear with someone who has been in your shoes and can connect you with helpful outside resources.
Connecting with Mother Nature is a basic human need. Tend to matters of the heart, mind, and body while tending to the garden with our Horticultural Therapy program, in which our guests can reconnect with nature and discover healing, restorative powers they may have never known! Through interactions with plants and gardening, adults can enjoy healthy indoor and outdoor activities that can slow physical and mental breakdown, as well as provide an outlet for energy and creativity. Whether planting seeds in the outdoor garden or tending to plants in our greenhouse, horticulture therapy offers patients a way to focus on their abilities, instead of their disabilities. Gardening is also a great social experience for patients who can collaborate and engage with other participants to accomplish their goal. Whether your loved one has been a gardener their entire life or has never handled fresh soil, gardening is an empowering skill that will exercise their mind and body.
